A handful of songs

Image
So often I've found music to be uplifting and soothing, especially when I'm struggling. Awhile ago, I listened to " Better Days Coming " by MercyMe. One of the lyric's verses mentions God's hands, which made the song even more meaningful. So I listened to the song again. Then I decided to search for more "hand" songs. Yes, they're contemporary Christian songs. But if you listen, I think they'll give you strength to keep going. Out Of My Hands , Jeremy Camp.  I Lift My Hands , Chris Tomlin Hands of Jesus , Crowder  Hands Of The Healer , Hope Darst  Your Hands , JJ Heller  In The Hands Of God , Newsboys  Hands , Aaron Cole  Please share if you have any favorite songs that help keep you going. I'd like to hear them.  UPDATE July 7, 2026   Here's one that truly lifts me every time. And my hands, too. God, I'm Just Grateful, Chandler Moore

Bummed but blessed

I just tried to open a jar of sugar water for the hummingbirds. It twisted wrong and got stuck. I tried again. And again. ARGH. I can't do what I used to be able to do, thanks to Dup. It's stuck, and I can't open it, and my hands hurt, and I'm MAD, and I just want to scream. Because now I have to wait for my husband to get home and help me. Then I remind myself that I have a husband, someone who's there to help me when things like this happen. Many people with this disease don't have anyone like I do. And so, despite these frustrations, I am blessed. I have someone who loves me and is more than willing to fill in when I'm unable to do what I want to do.
